Better light, without the studio setup.
- The preset asks for conservative exposure and white-balance correction.
- Your original remains available for a direct comparison.
- Relighting uses 3 credits and starts from the uploaded original each time.
- Add a short instruction to refine this task. The preset asks to preserve identity; compare the result with the original for unwanted changes.
A note on the result
Strong backlighting, clipped highlights and heavy color casts can limit the result. AI cannot recover detail that was never captured with certainty.
Your photos are private. Guest files expire after 24 hours; signed-in photos and results after 30 days. You can remove this application’s copies sooner.
Get the most from this task
Choose a useful starting photo
Start with the original photo rather than a screenshot. A dark image with visible detail is a better candidate than one with completely black shadows or pure-white highlights.
Apply, compare, download
Choose Lighting and describe a restrained change, such as softer shadows or a more neutral color balance. Run the edit, then compare the subject and background before exporting.
Check bright edges, skin tones and objects in the shadows. AI may reconstruct detail rather than recover it; keep the original if color accuracy matters for a product or record.
An actual result, with context
This still-life input was generated for AIPhotoRetouch. The pair shows one lighting edit through the app, without additional finishing. It illustrates one input and setting, not a guarantee for other photos.

Settings: Default lighting correction; no written instruction.

How the examples are made
The before-and-after pairs on our tool pages use our own AI-generated sample images and actual app outputs. Captions identify the task and settings. Community look cards are credited inspiration, not evidence of an AIPhotoRetouch result.
What an example can tell you
A demonstration shows one input and one set of settings. It is not a promise that every photo will behave the same way. Compare every result with the original, especially faces, fine edges, text and reconstructed details.
Your choice, without model settings
Choose a task or a look and review its credit cost. The app selects the image model and can try its fallback provider after a supported failure. You do not need to choose a model or manage provider accounts.
