Give a memory a thoughtful second life.
- Start with a clear scan or evenly lit photograph of the print.
- Colorization stays off unless you choose it.
- Restoration uses 3 credits. Keep the original file as your archival copy.
- Add a short instruction to refine this task. The preset asks to preserve identity; compare the result with the original for unwanted changes.
A note on the result
Restoration can invent details and colorization is an interpretation. A restored photo is not documentary evidence of the original appearance.
Your photos are private. Guest files expire after 24 hours; signed-in photos and results after 30 days. You can remove this application’s copies sooner.
Get the most from this task
Choose a useful starting photo
Scan the print at a useful resolution, or photograph it flat in even light without glare. Keep a separate untouched copy. Heavy creases, tiny faces and missing areas leave more room for interpretation.
Apply, compare, download
Choose Restore. Leave colorization off to retain the original black-and-white or color appearance, or choose Add natural color deliberately. Compare small faces, text and clothing before exporting.
Treat repaired details as an interpretation. The tool can invent texture or features in damaged areas; it cannot certify what a person, object or color originally looked like.
An actual result, with context
The archival-style input is an AI-generated sample, not a family photograph or historical document. This pair demonstrates the app's restoration workflow on that sample; it is not a documentary reconstruction.

Settings: Colorization off; no written instruction.
About AIPhotoRetouch
A clear process. Results you can inspect.
AIPhotoRetouch is an independent photo editing service operated by Marwan Akhandaf. For product support, contact info@aipgen.com; AIPGEN is the domain used for our support email.
How the examples are made
The before-and-after pairs on our tool pages use our own AI-generated sample images and actual app outputs. Captions identify the task and settings. Community look cards are credited inspiration, not evidence of an AIPhotoRetouch result.
What an example can tell you
A demonstration shows one input and one set of settings. It is not a promise that every photo will behave the same way. Compare every result with the original, especially faces, fine edges, text and reconstructed details.
Your choice, without model settings
Choose a task or a look and review its credit cost. The app selects the image model and can try its fallback provider after a supported failure. You do not need to choose a model or manage provider accounts.
